60-Second Mind Shift: Embracing Uncertainty

Supporting you to free your mind so you can live from your heart!

“The only thing that makes life possible is permanent, intolerable uncertainty; not knowing what comes next.”

Ursula K. Le Guin

What a divine paradox that we have brains that crave certainty in a world that is incapable of providing it. By life's very nature, nothing is certain. There is so much we can’t control and yet our brain’s tendency is to try to do exactly that, to manage that over which we have no real power or influence: other people, places and things.”

And then we wonder why we are exhausted, angry and unfulfilled.

Another way to describe it is that we are focusing on the frame - everything out there - rather than the picture. The picture is everything inside, which is us and what we can control: our perception, our possibilities, how we channel and manage our energy,  and what we choose to focus on.

I affirm: Today I will make one small decision about something I can control and let go of one small thing that I have been trying to control and now see I can't.
