Reality has two domains: visionary and physical.
In visionary reality, energy is vibrant and luminous. It's where our dreams, ideas, creativity and inspiration flourish without constraint or obligation.
Physical reality, on the other hand, encompasses the tangible world of people, places, and things. Here you experience sensory perceptions—smell, taste, sight.
This realm is also governed by 3 different principles:
1. Things take energy. And often 10x more than you think.
2. Things are continually changing.
3. The change is unpredictable, so you never know what is going to happen.
Sidenote: After learning about these two domains I had a realization that I used to spent a lot of time, and was very comfortable in, visionary reality; in physical reality, not so much. Learning about these domains helped me figure out how to move forward in physical reality after a long time of feeling stuck.
Back to our two realities. Let's say you want to own a house. Well, wanting to own a house involves more than dreaming about it in visionary reality. It necessitates practical steps like securing financing, building a suitable income source, completing paperwork, packing, and moving—a process often filled with mundane, yet crucial, tasks.
So what happens when we go act on this idea of owning a home? As we take action to bring the dream from visionary reality into physical reality we experience something called our “Point of Mastery”. As soon as we initiate action, we experience natural pushback from physical reality. Any number of things might happen that we do not expect.
There can be financing issues, such as complications in securing a mortgage or unexpected changes in interest rates. There can be issues found during the home inspection, like mold, structural defects or major repairs that will hold up or even cancel the purchase. There can be various administrative delays, or sudden interest rate changes, or unexpected life events.
Let's say that any or all of these things occur while we're buying our home. As if this wouldn't be bad enough, this is also when our doubts and worries and stories kick up and get really loud. And this is when most people give up in resignation.
However, this is the point, a pivotal moment, where instead of giving up on what we really want, we get to show who we really are and demonstrate our innate capacity to take action on what matters most.
The “Point of Mastery” is your prime opportunity to develop skill in moving beyond the brain-convincing worries, doubts and resignation. You develop this skill by observing your brain instead of analyzing it. You become the compassionate witness. You observe with a gentle objectivity the torrent of limiting thoughts your brain kicks up and, in spite of these loud thoughts, you are willing and able to shift from the visionary to the practical with a clear understanding of what you value the most and why owning the home you really want is so important to you. This is a brain-training skill that can be developed and honed over time. And it allows you to reveal your true, powerful, divine self in the grit of the tangible world.
Mastery is not a destination but an ongoing journey. Each moment involves applying what you've learned, steadily progressing toward your goals and aspirations, so that you can turn a desire like owning a house from a mere concept into concrete reality.
Earth is a school of mastery. So there must be polarity, limitations and obstacles to master! My mentor, Dr. Maria Nemeth who taught me about all this, often says, "What does it take to live down here on this planet? Everything you’ve got!"
So- look into your life with precision and love. Is there an area of your life where you know you could dig deeper and contribute more? What is your brain the loudest about? Lean in and let your brain know that you hear its concerns and #yougotthis.
I affirm: The obstacle IS the way.
Step by Step,
