Redefining Success: A New Perspective

I used to think success was all about external achievements—accolades, wealth, and confidence. But, no matter what I gained, I never felt truly successful. I always thought I needed just a bit more to finally feel fulfilled. And the fulfillment was always in the distant future because my present never felt good enough.

 Can you relate?

Then I learned a new definition of success from my mentor that changed everything. Success isn’t about external factors; it’s about keeping small promises to yourself, even - and especially- when you don’t feel like it. I realized my previous inconsistency stemmed from being distracted by my ever- fluctuating feelings and being unsure of my highest values.

True success came when I began taking small, meaningful steps in the areas of my life that matter most—what we call "Life's Intentions" in my coaching practice. This brought me joy, coherence, and a deeper sense of contribution.

I Affirm: Today I’ll spend 5 minutes reflecting on those things I truly care about, and I will take a small, sweet action in one of those areas.

Step by Step,

Jessie
