60-Second Mind Shift: Stepping Beyond Preparation: The Courage to Enter the Game
Supporting you to free your mind so you can live from your heart!
“Many of us knock on the door but remain outside, because knocking and entering are entirely different actions. Knocking is necessary—reading books, attending meetings, and asking questions are all part of the process. But entrance requires much bolder action. It demands that we turn inward to uncover hidden motives, confront contradictions, and realize our actual power for self-change.”

Stepping Beyond Preparation: The Courage to Enter the Game
Our brain loves to stay in the knocking phase, where we consume information, prepare endlessly, and convince ourselves we’re getting ready. It’s easy to get stuck in this cycle—the I need to do more research phase—and never move into the entering phase. Entering is where we step into the game, take bold action, and embrace the discomfort of growth.
Not only does entering require much bolder action, it also demands a willingness to be messy and to feel like a beginner. It requires being okay with not knowing exactly what you’re doing and being open to learning new skill sets.
Most importantly, entering means being gentle with yourself—allowing for mistakes without identifying yourself as the mistake. It’s a process of recognizing that missteps are just part of learning and growing into skills you haven’t yet mastered.
Coach Steve Chandler says, “anything worth doing is worth doing badly.” What in your life are you willing to suck at and keep going no matter what it looks like? Whatever that is - do more of that
I Affirm: Today I look at where I might create the opportunity to learn something new and risk not being perfect and maybe even laugh at myself in wonderment.
